my new yard

Kidding...but This is my dream backyard...I want to do something in the back ( If we decide to buy this house, which we are seriously considering) Love the path, and the plants. I would make lots of room for bird baths and feeders and tons of gazing balls, and hang bubbles and houses and stuff from trees, and the Small lights they have a t target........I can go on and on.

TREE MAN

There is a man in my tree?????!!!!
I wonder what his name should be?? Or is it a her?? Maybe Mother Nature!! She will watch over the yard, make sure the squirrels and birds play fair. I want one for every tree!

Sunday and beautiful, its a bit overcast and drizzly, but not too cold. I really like this weather. Not hot, but short weather. I have to admit, I'm feeling sorry for the Squirrels, now that they cant get to the seed, we are getting so many birds!! But know I'm afraid the squirrels are starving. So.................

We give them bread...and apples. The bunnies get apples too. I'm going to charge admission. That yellow bird I posted a while ago.....he comes everyday, we think he is a canary?? look closely, what could he be, other than cute as he**!

Swollen ankles

I ran/walked the 2 miles. mostly ran, but I have to admit I walked some. And now I have swollen ankles. I tried to take pictures, but it doesn't do it justice......why are my ankles swelling?





I planted flowers and strawberries yesterday, lets see if my green thumb works outdoors!

Do you remember this bush that is in the front yard...look at it, bright friggen yellow. I guess all of the flowers bloom then fall off and turn into leaves?? It is really pretty, and the tree in front has little pink buds all over, it must be a cherry tree. It is spring, flowers are blooming everywhere! Very pretty, yesterday was like 80* we slept with all of the windows open, the night is cool so it keeps the house cold! I LOVE IT! And the birds, we have so many different kinds!! Cardinals, Blue Jays, and a little guy called a titmouse the cutest! they don't like to have pictures taken, but I will try.

I'm going to NJ for a day, so Ill be busy and not on the PC till Thursday...........I LOVE YOU!

Please note...that is a bird, a very small, yellow, hungry bird. Notice all of the food in the feeders, untouched by little squirmy hands, food for birds............still there after 5 days.

And this is the torpedo, it is like a bell, that sits on the pole for my bird feeder.

Ive added two new plants to add to our foliage family! & note the new pot colors!! Only one more color to get! So excited!! I love my plants!

Okay, I read in a mag. that a way to stay motivated while 'training' is to blog your distance, so forgive me....but I must keep going! So Friday, we rode 7.5 miles, all around town, up hills, didn't seem like we went down any?? It was a beautiful day, great for a ride!

Today I run, at the reservoir. I will attempt 2 miles! wish me luck!

I did it again!

Remember when we went to the reservoir and looked at the geese......well there is a trail there that is a 5k coarse. It goes up and down hills and all around the woods in back. Rich & I have been going there on my days off and running, this morning, I ran 1/2 the coarse!! without stopping, I ran it....I almost fell 3x and fainted at the end.....but I ran it!
So 2nd goal down. I am going to run this entire 5k!! it will kill me, but I'm going to do it!

I did it!!!

I ran the block! without stopping once........AAAAND, I did it in the rain! I'm so happy, I can do anything! I really want to do it again right now, but its pouring and cold, so Ill ride the bike today and try to attack another block tomorrow. But I did it, Flo-Jo watch out!
Of coarse I want immediately to work to buy my jacket, remember I earned it! And I tried it on.....not so much.It didn't look very cute on, bubbly sleeves and it has a ton of volume, I need to try it with skinny pants, cross your fingers.
How bad is it going to suck if I accomplished my feat, and I cant reward myself.Oh well, I'm sure if I try really, really hard, I can find something to buy.

Tracey's garden?

My new favorite thing...............house plants. I think mostly because they aren't dieing, usually I buy them and they die after a month. But my plants are going STRONG!! I even re potted my chive and he is thriving. So to celebrate them, Rich and I mad little clay offerings.

But this is my favorite...............no clay on him, he stands alone in all of his glory, I'm not sure why I love him so much, maybe cuz when I touch him hes all bouncy.....but I do, I love him. And the pots, see the pots. They are all different colors, bright, cheery, they make my plants so happy. That's why they stay alive!!! I'm going to be that lady that has a forest in her home, plants everywhere! Long live the house plants!

Okay kill me now..............what was I thinking signing up for a 5k??????????

I cant even make it around the block. So my new goal is to run the entire thing. I have challenged myself, I wont buy 1 single thing until I make it completely around the block. Once I do, 1 purchase. Then 2x around, another purchase and so on.....I already negotiating with my self.....does makeup and face wash count?? Really, those are necessities, not really purchases. And of coarse, I say this and a million amazing new things come in to the store, and I tell myself....'well, I DO need a jacket for the recognition meeting'...........but no, I'm standing firm, today, nothing until I complete my first block, then HELLO pretty new jacket!

Oh and I hate Rich..............for some reason he can run, and run, and run, and run, nothing phases him, NOTHING. So......I hate him. ( AAANNND he smoked!!)

Look what ran thru our back yard. two of them! They didn't stay for long, we have no food in the Yard, the squirrel's ate it all. I hate them too.....

we got a beautiful bird feeded and even bought a stand to keep the vermon out ( yes they now are vermon to me...no more Ms. nice guy) and still they find a way to loot.

I just want Birds, pretty Birds.....we have the cutest woodpecker!! I love him!

But all Im left with is damn vermon.............

This is what ike does all day, lays on my bed, with his balls on my pillow, and waits for someone to come home....or just watches the birds. I have never met a dog that enjoys looking out of windows as much as Ike. He will lay there for hours and hours. oh, and notice how NOTHING on my bed matches, not even the pillow case- this is because Rich has to change everytihng that ikes balls touch =) OCD!! I have to go wash the sheets now =)
