And we painted......

Painted my bathroom.....Im not sure if I like the color. Its Glacier from Restoration Hardware, It looked allot greyer in hte store, on my walls its a baby blue. Im getting used to it.

Rich has started the basement. I will take photos as we go...So far paint, the color actually looks really nice. Its a paprika! Makes me hungry. Next we do the floor.

Along with the kitchen. Again, Silver sage, looks green in the store, blue on my walls. Everything looks blue, why is that? And now look at the cabinets, pink right. They are next. Im taking before and after photos.

Every day we are seeing more an more of these critters. Cute from afar, but I tried to get close to take a picture and he started to stomp his feet. I think that means "please leave me alone while I eat"- Rich says it means "get away or Ill stomp you to death"....... I dont think Bambi would talk like that?
Anyways, we really haven't had to much time at our beach. So sad....it really is a great place to be. We moved here to late in the season....

I wanted to get pictures up right away......Just try to overlook the mess. We are still unpacking, and have a looooong way to go. But here it is.

First, the view from the deck right outside of the kitchen. You also see this from the Kitchen and master bath window.

And the kitchen, you can see all of my junk that needs to be put away. I'm getting a headache thinking about it. How did we get so much crap.


The Master Bath- also known as my favorite room. Yes your right, that is a Whirlpool tub. Its a beautiful thing. That, and the other 2 bathrooms. Rich is beside himself, 3 bathrooms, he doesn't know where to go!! it's a man thing I guess.


I will send more pictures once I get everything cleaned up and pretty. I cant promise that will be anytime soon, every time I start- I get distracted by the private beach that is calling my name...........

OK....here are pics of the living room. I need to accessorize, and I'm stuck. not sure if I want to go beachy, or keep it more of an earthy, ethnic feel.....
so start here- looks kind of beachy right? wicker and glass......


I think I want to white wash the brick on the fireplace, but Im scared too. Once you go white- you never go back!


and I need to do something here, on the wall right- cluster of photos or a big picture with lots of color??

My new fav chair- super comfy!!

ok this is my new chest/end table- love it, it is really chunky and old, the iron on it is super rustic looking which makes me feel I need to go with a more eastern ethnic feel.


So I'm starting to love the room, finally. I just feel blah still, like it needs color or something. But what? If I add color, where do I add it and what color. Oh and do I need a coffee table?? There is one that matches the trunk, but do I want to be matchy- matchy?? When are you coming out here dammit!!!

I took the old rug and put it in the bedroom- does it match??

My perennial garden...along side of our path, rich couldn't mow it so we decided instead to take a shot at gardening, what the hey- looks easy enough on HGTV! So I planted Cone flowers, black eyed Susan's, and some things I cant pronounce let alone spell.

its kind of hard to see it, the black thing is my fire pit- covered cuz it rained yesterday- we will use it tonight which I love. I still want to add 2 boulders next to the tree and hang some bird houses or something. and I need two huge potted plants, just haven't found the right pot. I am looking for a really aged one- maybe Ill make it myself.

I'm not sure if the dogs like the gravel- it hurts their feets......do you think they'll get used to it??
Today I planted Lambs ear and cone flowers, cant wait for everything to take off.....I'm very impatient. .
