Happy Holidays from the farm

a few new things.....and some old habits

I know, I know...its been a while. I must remind you it is Christmas...and I work in retail. enough said. But to shut you up, here.........
I added to the furnishings collection, i have to say I loveeeeeee my new chair...

it lives in my boudoir, and it is just the right size to detour dogs.
And I especially loveeee our new table, now we have no legitimate excuse not to have people over for dinner...wait yes, yes we do, dogs again!! we have dogs..sorry!

now replace the pig with a particular husband. 3 dozen cookies, yes I said THREE!! and today I come home to 4 cookies. PIG!

I must say he earned it......see, pictures on the wall, hung straight and all.

Here are the final results for the living room.

I'm keeping it this time. replace the bookshelf with 2 smaller cases under the 2 windows on each side of the fireplace and whala!! You like????
of coarse as Im posting, I notice no tree...not even a suggestion that it is Holiday...maybe next year.

Bet you've never seen leaves on the trees, and snow on the ground at the same time. It is still trying to be fall but Mr winter is barging in!!

Had a wonderful day with our 'old neighbors' Charlie & Phillis who made us veggie lasagna and a Bday cake!! YUM!! We are thankful that so far away from home, we have someone who will take us in and be our faux family, at least on Holidays! They are great people, and definitely have good Karma coming their way for how nice they have always been to us.
Well I survived Black Friday.......now a month to go.....weeee!

Gobble Gobble

So I have decided.....I am going to grow Giant Pumpkins!! I have watched the PBS special and learned all about it. I will start in Spring, and watch my pumpkin grow. Stay tuned, in the meantime, you too may research how to grow a giant pumpkin. We can have contests to see who's pumpkin grows biggest!!!

Ike got his stitches out today, he is all better...just as we notice a tumor like growth on Sasha. So back we go....

Happy Thanksgiving.....I'm sure there is a Turkey out there Thankful to not be eaten!!

Poor Baby Ike

He got through surgery and is doing well as of midnight last night.....we will be able to go visit him today. Poor Richard is a mess, its funny how attached we get to our pets, each attachment individual. Richard truly is Ikes papa...he loves him and is so afraid for him, I on the other hand....well they are just balls.....




No really, it was scary, his age created a challenge to keep him under so long. They had to remove a "bucket" of stones, then neuter him......poor guy. I hope he wont miss them.....and now he will have less testosterone, as if he wasn't gay enough....
