Ice, Ice, Baby.....

Its not quite rain....defiantly not snow.....ice, falling from the sky and sticking to everything. You cant drive in it, cant even get it off the car. I think I might hate it......we will brave it to go to borders/target. Wish us luck, if we don't make it back......come for the animals!

Even stops these guys from coming around.......

We aren't sure who killed Mr. Pig, just came home one day to the horror. Vicious crime......

he survived for a while here without having his stuffing ripped out...why now....why?? We worry about his partner Mr. Cow...he may be next...tune in for the next episode of CSI Connecticut.

Thursday

What a beautiful Sunrise, not from today however. Today it rained, every hour, every minute, every second of today it rained. And there is nothing better to do on a rainy day.....

than torture the animals....

I love Christmas decoration. I feel so festive....Would it be weird if I kept them up all year long. If you came to my house in ...say...August and saw my tree up...would you think I was disconnected from reality...or just lazy?? Like the people who leave their X-mas lights up all year long.....YOU know...the ones who don't turn them on, but you see the dangely wires hanging off their rain gutters. I don't think they are lazy,I think they are brilliant!!!

Christmas, Christmas, time is near........

up and running

Our modem stopped working a week ago....we thought it had died from old age.....we thought it had done all it could and just gave out.....then we saw it....and realized what really happened.....

So loving my new camera

loving my counter tops more.....

Home depot offered us $200 for the F**k up, we told them to F**k off, insulting that they think $200 will make us go away...well...thats it, I boycott home depot.....till spring (I like their nursery better than Lowe's.)
Thanks for my Bday box...love it and already wore the scarf!

We spent Thanksgiving at Karen's

Its Christmas, but sure doesn't feel like it, comon economy, get going!!!Wonder who this is for, it feels very relevant???

Make History....

It was a creed written into the founding documents that declared the destiny of a nation.
Yes we can.
It was whispered by slaves and abolitionists as they blazed a trail toward freedom.
Yes we can.
It was sung by immigrants as they struck out from distant shores and pioneers who pushed westward against an unforgiving wilderness.
Yes we can.
It was the call of workers who organized; women who reached for the ballots; a President who chose the moon as our new frontier; and a King who took us to the mountaintop and pointed the way to the Promised Land.
Yes we can to justice and equality.
Yes we can to opportunity and prosperity.
Yes we can heal this nation.
Yes we can repair this world.
Yes we can.
We know the battle ahead will be long, but always remember that no matter what obstacles stand in our way, nothing can stand in the way of the power of millions of voices calling for change. (We want change.)
We have been told we cannot do this by a chorus of cynics…they will only grow louder and more dissonant ……….. We’ve been asked to pause for a reality check. We’ve been warned against offering the people of this nation false hope.
But in the unlikely story that is America, there has never been anything false about hope.
Now the hopes of the little girl who goes to a crumbling school in Dillon are the same as the dreams of the boy who learns on the streets of LA; we will remember that there is something happening in America; that we are not as divided as our politics suggests; that we are one people; we are one nation; and together, we will begin the next great chapter in the American story with three words that will ring from coast to coast; from sea to shining sea: Yes We Can.
